De Leon Court Docket Searches
For municipal citations, the official De Leon citation portal is the straight route. Begin with the citation number rather than a broad name search. Your paperwork may name another court or agency. Take the request to the county office shown. Not every local matter belongs to Municipal Court.
- Read the citation and identify the court, issuing agency, and response date.
- Open the De Leon portal and select the most precise available search mode.
- Enter the requested information and compare the returned citation number and violation.
- Confirm any appearance date or option with Municipal Court before acting.
- If no city match appears, check the named county court or clerk rather than repeating broad searches.
Six De Leon Citation Search Paths
De Leon offers one more search mode than the Comanche city portal. That makes six paths in all. You can search by citation number, driver's license, or Social Security number. Vehicle information, personal name, and business name also work. Citation search pairs the number with date of birth. Driver search asks for license number, state, and birth date, while personal-name search wants first and last name plus a birth date.
| Mode | Portal fields |
|---|---|
| Citation | Citation number and date of birth |
| Driver | License number, state, and date of birth |
| SSN | Social Security number and date of birth |
| Vehicle | Plate, state, and a second vehicle field |
| Name | First name, last name, and date of birth |
| Business | Business name |
Enter sensitive identifiers only on the official portal, and never copy them into notes, screenshots, or examples. A citation number is the safer choice whenever you have one.
Inside the De Leon Municipal Court
The state municipal-court directory names Wayne T. Parsons II as judge and lists the court at 125 S Texas, with mail to PO Box 318, De Leon, Texas 76444. The telephone is 254-893-6851 and the fax is 254-893-3254. Office hours are posted on the portal: Tuesday and Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Those are the public channels for confirming a De Leon setting or requesting a court record. Municipal Court handles city ordinance and Class C criminal matters within its authority, including many city-issued traffic citations. Its portal stands apart from Comanche County's posted docket archive, the County Clerk, the District Clerk, and the Justice Court systems. When the court is unknown, one party name may take more than one channel.
The Blank De Leon Clerk Field
The portal leaves its “Court Clerk” label blank. Don't fill that gap with a guessed employee name, and don't read it as proof the office has no staff. Use the telephone and address from the official state directory, and confirm the current clerk plus delivery instructions before sending a request.
Practical fallback: Call 254-893-6851 during the portal's announced Tuesday or Friday hours when a citation cannot be located or a setting needs confirmation.
Finding De Leon Court Dates
Read any date the portal returns alongside the citation number, court, violation, and status. Scheduled is not the same as completed. A payment result does not prove every docket event appears. Resets and data-entry delays can leave an older notice out of step with current court information, so verify before you appear in person or mail a plea.
| Date | The current setting date associated with the municipal citation. |
|---|---|
| Time | The listed appearance time, confirmed through the court when necessary. |
| Location | De Leon Municipal Court or the different tribunal printed on the citation. |
| Judge | The judicial officer identified by the official record or current directory. |
| Setting Type | An appearance, plea, trial, compliance, or other court-designated event. |
When De Leon Finds No Citation
First, recheck every character of the citation number. Make sure the search mode fits the information you hold. A vehicle or license search also depends on the right issuing state. The citation itself may name a different court. Then stop widening the search with more sensitive identifiers. Next, call Municipal Court during its announced hours. Tickets written by DPS, the Sheriff's Office, or a Game Warden go to Justice Court. The Comanche County FAQ explains this. The JP page lists 325-356-3543. A missing portal result is not proof of dismissal or nonfiling.
De Leon Traffic Ticket Lookups
A municipal citation result may show the citation number, violation, issue date, court date, balance, payment status, warrant or hold status, disposition, and available request options. The exact fields depend on the result. Separate documents can still sit in the court's file. Examples include a plea, receipt, deferred order, driver-safety order, dismissal record, or warrant release. Paying and contesting are different choices. Read the court notice before using any payment control. Ask whether an option must be requested first. De Leon publishes no current transaction fee, so don't borrow one from another city's portal.
De Leon Workload Is Not Convictions
The Office of Court Administration's FY2025 municipal activity report covers one fiscal stretch. It runs September 1, 2024 through August 31, 2025. It gives De Leon a 2024 population of 2,377. At the start, 450 matters were active and pending. The report then counts 30 reactivated and 118 added. It shows 121 disposed, 31 placed inactive, and 446 active pending at the end.
These are workload categories, nothing more. They do not count unique people, convictions, crime, or every type of case in Comanche County. Pending matters can carry over from an earlier reporting period, and “disposed” and “placed inactive” are separate report fields.
How De Leon Cases Reach the County
A De Leon case can still belong to another court, because jurisdiction follows the type and level of the matter, not the nearest city. County Court and the County Clerk handle their assigned misdemeanor, probate, and civil work. The 220th Judicial District Court and District Clerk hold the district civil, family, and felony records. Justice Court covers its statutory matters.
Docket flow: De Leon Municipal Court › Comanche County courts › 220th Judicial District Court
This is a guide to court levels, not a promise that every city case follows that path. When a case number, notice, or issuing agency points above Municipal Court, use the Comanche County court docket routes.
County Docket or De Leon Citation
Comanche County takes one approach and De Leon takes another. The county's Civil/Criminal Dockets Archives posts dated PDFs rather than a city citation search. Each PDF is a calendar for its date range. Look there and you may see familiar fields. Case number, court date, setting, time, bond, attorney, agency, offense, and disposition can all appear. That is a schedule, not a certified municipal record or a full chronological register.
For a De Leon Municipal Court citation, start with the city's own portal. County archives and clerks serve one purpose. They make sense only when a document plainly belongs to county or district court. Keep those channels straight. It saves you from concluding a record does not exist when it simply lives elsewhere.
Who Can See De Leon Court Records
Plenty of what sits in a Comanche County court file is open to anyone. Not everything is public. Sealed cases stay closed. So do juvenile files, expunged records, and material the court has flagged as protected or sensitive. A De Leon docket search form has those fields. A Social Security number or birth date box does not make the values fair game to publish. If you need an official copy for a real purpose, ask the court for one and ask whether a certified version is available.
Key rules:
Texas Rule of Judicial Administration 12 addresses judicial-record access.
Texas Government Code Chapter 552 is the Texas Public Information Act for covered governmental records.
Texas Code of Criminal Procedure Chapter 45A governs municipal and justice court criminal procedure.
De Leon Copies Need Court Confirmation
The portal is fine for tracking down and managing a citation. It is not a promise of a certified copy. For De Leon Municipal Court's current copy fee, accepted payment methods, delivery options, and turnaround, call the court directly; the static official sources do not list those details. Whatever you do, do not borrow the Comanche city fee schedule. Fees from one city cannot be pasted onto another court's rules. For anything above the municipal level, go to the office that actually holds the file. The District Clerk keeps district matters, the County Clerk handles County Court and probate material, and the justice court keeps its own cases. The statewide re:SearchTX service can surface some e-filed Comanche County court records, but it is not a substitute for clerk certification, and its coverage here is not guaranteed to be complete.
De Leon Portal Privacy Steps
De Leon's search form stands out in Comanche County. Alongside citation, license, vehicle, name, and business modes, it offers a Social Security number and date-of-birth option. That extra mode is not the best first step. Start with the citation number if you have it. If you truly need another mode, type sensitive data only into the official court portal. Verify the web address first. Never send a Social Security number, birth date, or license number through ordinary email or a shared note.
If you keep a record of the search, note a few safe things. Write down the court name, the date you checked, the blank field labels, and the citation number when disclosure is proper. Leave the private search values out. Then test any result against the issuing court and the violation listed, since a name alone can mislead. Names repeat, and one person may have matters in more than one Comanche County court. The portal opens De Leon's municipal file; it is not a broad identity search.
De Leon Payment Results Are Limited
Paying through the De Leon screen settles your payment. It does not certify the whole municipal case. The underlying file can hold far more: the citation itself, a plea, a receipt, a court setting, a deferred order, a driver-safety order, a dismissal or compliance record, and any warrant or hold release. Which documents you can download and how long a new citation takes to appear are questions the court should answer at 254-893-6851. Ask about the current transaction fee too. Ask for the exact item you need. A receipt solves a payment question; a signed order or a certified disposition answers a different one. If the portal balance and a mailed notice disagree, do not guess which is current. Write down both dates and let the municipal clerk confirm. And remember that fees shown on the City of Comanche portal belong to that city's system. Each city runs its own municipal record channel. So De Leon's rules are set by De Leon.
De Leon Dockets Across Court Levels
De Leon is one of only three incorporated places in this county build, yet its residents and events show up across several court systems. The Municipal Court handles De Leon ordinance and Class C matters within its authority. The countywide Justice of the Peace takes assigned citations and lower civil matters. Constitutional County Court covers misdemeanors, probate, and other assigned work. The 220th Judicial District Court keeps district civil, family, and felony cases. Its records are held by the District Clerk. This split changes how you get copies, too. De Leon Municipal Court sets its own search, copy, certification, payment, and turnaround rules. The County Clerk holds County Court and probate material. The District Clerk takes district copy requests by mail or at the counter. re:SearchTX can surface indexed Texas filings or hearings. But custody never leaves the originating clerk. Read the court title on the case record, not just the city name. Then choose an office.
